No. 156 Tamayokan
I treated myself to some tamayokan today. It's glossy, perfectly round, and somehow endearing. I quietly opened the box in a place where no one was around. I skewered a piece on a bamboo stick and took a bite. The sweetness melted in my mouth, soothing my heart. I never knew such a gentle snack would suit me so well. It's nothing special, but it makes me feel a little special. I placed a single piece in the palm of my hand and took a photo. It's so soft that when I gently pinch it, it leaves a mark on my finger. Why do sweet things make people feel so at ease? Today, I played around with my marbled yōkan. I'm savoring this little bit of happiness to the fullest.
